12040 Black Ebonite Neponset

The ebonite body gives it a nice heft that feels substantial in the hand, and the black finish looks sharp against my desk clutter. It writes smoothly right out of the box, which is more than I can say for some pens I've tried at this price point.

The black ebonite feels warm and smooth in the hand, not cold like resin pens I've tried before. It's a solid everyday writer with a classic look that doesn't scream for attention.

I’ve been using it for daily notes and the ebonite body warms up in your hand after a few minutes, which makes long writing sessions feel more comfortable. The understated all-black look hides fingerprints surprisingly well, too.
